What this site does

The price board shows live spot prices for gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and copper, updated in real time while you watch, plus published dealer prices for the rare platinum-group metals rhodium, iridium, and ruthenium. The calculator below it works out the melt value of scrap, coins, or bullion from a weight, a unit (grams, troy ounces, ounces, pennyweight, pounds, or kilos), and a purity such as 14k gold or sterling silver.

Where the prices come from

Live prices are fetched by your own browser from a public spot-price service and shown with a freshness stamp. If the live feed is ever unreachable, the site falls back to a daily reference rate, and then to its built-in snapshot, always labeled so you know exactly what you are looking at. The spot price field in the calculator is editable, so you can drop in any quote you have and the math updates instantly.

Everything you type stays on your device. The weights and values you calculate are never uploaded, stored, or seen by us. See the privacy policy for details.
